CroNoMar was 100% owned by Norwegian SIVA-Tech AS (governmental agency) in start-up phase. At present CroNoMar is 65% owned by SIVA-Tech AS and 35% owned by Leiv Eiriksson Nyskaping AS. The intension is to invite Croatian local part-owners when the company is fully operational

Norwegian sponsors to CroNoMar The Norwegian Ministry for Foreign Affairs sponsors the 3-years project:

· Maritime Innovation Centre in Šibenik.

· CroNoMar is established as an operational company in Šibenik to implement the project.

· The project is carried out by SIVA and SINTEF with Leiv Eiriksson Nyskaping AS as Project Manager.

Feasibility studies CroNoMar is taking initiatives for development and creating / identifying new business opportunities in cooperation with existing industry, companies, R&D -- Institutions, Universities and individuals.

 Potential for development and trading of sub supplies between Norwegian and Croatian Maritime Industry:

· Identify areas where such partners can improve competitiveness. The first project successfully finished and new contracts are in place.

· Croatian shipyard competitiveness

· Leisure boat industry. Identification of cooperative topics between Norwegian and Croatian leisure boat builders. First contract in place and first project in realization between Norwegian client and Croatian leisure boat producer.

· The Value chain of Fishery and aquaculture sector in Croatia: Intention is to identify potentials for improvements and cooperating partners for implementation of improvements by industrializing the sector.

· Recruitment of Seafarers: Identify the market for recruitment of Croatian seafarers for the international shipping community, and required improvements in order to expand this activity.

· Coastal Zone monitoring and management

· Shell farming sector Preprojecs CroNoMar is taking initiatives for development and creating / identifying new business opportunities in cooperation with existing industry, companies, R&D – Institutions, Universities and individuals.

· Planning of PR and publicity activities to be implemented autumn 2009 as contribution to an improved business oriented culture and attitudes in the region.

· Establish good relations to relevant public and private development agencies where potential idea-holders seek assistance and contribution

· Proactively towards national R&D-institutes

· Proactively towards educational institution and students from the region to be trained in entrepreneurship and look for maritime relate business opportunities during their studies

· new boat concept for aquaculture sector

 · new farming concept for aquaculture sector, etc.

· the expertise of Croatian boat producers will be integrated in leisure boat model so far produced only in Norway
