The scholarships are meant to act as incentives for critical discourse in regards to existential and society-related subject matters concerning Henrik Ibsen.
Scholarships are applicable to individuals, organizations or institutions within the artistic and cultural community.
The International Ibsen Scholarships are awarded annually and the applications are subject to scrutiny by an appointed jury.
Previous years, projects from Asia, North-America, Europe, Africa and Australia have received Ibsen- scholarships.
The presentation of the scholarships is staged in Henrik Ibsen’s city of birth, Skien in Norway on September 19th and 20th in 2011 and coincides with the Skien International Ibsen Conference.
The application deadline for The International Ibsen Scholarships is April 15th, 2011.
