The event took place at the Tin Ujevic Library in Zagreb on the occasion of a visit from Mr. Munib Delalić from Oslo. Mr. Delalić has translated the wide collection of novels and poetry collection now available to the library’s visitors.
From "Pan" to "The Half Brother"
The new additions includes well-renowned Norwegian authors as Knut Hamsun with the famous novel “Pan”. Several contemporary authors were also presented, there among Lars Saaby Christensens novel “The Half brother” and Per Pettersons novel “Out stealing horses”. Petterson recently won the Nordic Council Literature Prize 2009. Literary works by Dag Solstad, Kjetil Askildsen and Georg Johansen have also been translated into Croatian.
The event was opened by head of the Library Mrs. Tea Grašić-Kvesić, followed by speeches from editor in Fidipid publisher Diana Burazer, the president of the Croatian-Norwegian Friendship Accociation Mr. Tomislav Zoričić and the Norwegian Ambassador to Croatia Mr. Terje Hauge.

The program included presentations of the authors and their novels by Mr. Delalić and editor Mrs. Diana Burazer. The well known Croatian author and critics Mr. Tonko Maroević was also attending the event, giving his personal opinion on the Norwegian literary works.
Celebrating with music
Marking the upcoming Norwegian national day, the 17th of may, the mezzo-soprano Mrs. Nina Cangalovic and Mrs. Marja Maričić on piano, performed pieces of the Norwegian composer Edvard Grieg. The musical program was followed by a small reception where the guests enjoyed great food and drinks.
