Norwegian violinist Vilde Frang at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall

Last updated: 24/01/2011 // Norwegian-born violinist Vilde Frang performed at Vatroslav Lisinski Concert Hall on 13 December 2010. Accompanied by the Ukranian piano player Milana Chernyavska, Frang performed compositions by Schubert, Bartok and Strauss.

Vilde Frang is EMI Classics Young Artist of the Year 2010 with the release of her album of Sibelius and Prokofiev concertos with the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne.

Already in 1996, at the age of 10, Frang made her orchestral debut with the Norwegian Radio Symphony. Two years later, she was invited by the famous conductor Mariss Jansons to play with the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra. She has since performed extensively in Europe, North America and The Far East, and has received several awards, including the Norwegian Soloist Prize, the Sonning Music Fund, the Swedish Prince Eugenes Prize, the Danish Queen Ingrids Honorary Award and Grand Prize of the Ritter Stiftung Hamburg. A Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship winner, Frang also receives musical support from Dame Mitsuko Uchilda.

The concert was organized by The Zagreb Concert Management, while the Norwegian Embassy invited contacts and friends and hosted a reception.
