Foreign Minister Børge Brende on Monday 13th of February visited a sunny Zagreb for meetings with President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović, Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, and Foreign Minister Davor Ivo Stier. The discussed topics were security and stability in Southeast Europe, Croatia’s rising economy, and EU and NATO enlargement, in addition to bilateral issues.

This year marks the 100 year anniversary of the Sami people. The 6th of February is the day of the Sami people, as this is the date the first joint meeting of the Sami was held in Trondheim, Norway. To celebrate the anniversary, several events are taking place to spread knowledge about the history and culture about this indigenous people.

The Norwegian Embassy in Croatia co-hosted the launching of the first beer produced by a newly established Norwegian-Croatian company. "Prvo Viško Pivo", which means the first beer from Vis, has been well received in Croatia and has already won an award. The company is currently in the process of establishing a brewery on Vis, a small island in the Adriatic located far away from the mainland.
